Optical Engineering
We cover a broad range of opto-mechanical system design, from tiny photonic switching optics to heavy and massive lenses, mirrors and windows for high-powered laser systems. We've developed opto-mechanical design solutions using everything from inexpensive, off-the-shelf optics, to state-of-the-art berylium satellite mirrors. We designed inspection tooling for the primary mirror of the Spitzer Space Telescope.
Some of the optics we've worked with include:
- OFF-AXIS ELLIPSOIDAL MIRRORS
- OFF-AXIS PARABOLIC MIRRORS
- REPLICATED OPTICS
- LENSLET ARRAYS
- DIODE ARRAYS
- DEFORMABLE OPTICS
- LEAK MIRRORS
- CONDENSERS (pyramid and parabolic)
- ASPHERES
- LIGHT PIPES
- GLASS SLAB AMPLIFIERS
- POCKEL CELLS
- APODIZERS
- DIFFRACTION GRATINGS
- POLARIZERS
- HIGH-FLUENCE LENSES
- ACYLINDRICAL LENSES
- FIBEROPTIC SYSTEMS
Some of the opto-mechanical manipulators we've worked with include:
- CG-MOUNTED OPTICS
- TEMPERATURE COMPENSATING MOUNTS
- FLEXURE PIVOTS
- LIFT TABLES
- GOTHIC-ARCH KINEMATIC MOUNTS
- AIR-BEARING PLATFORMS
- MULTIPLE DEGREE-OF-FREEDOM POSITIONERS
